The shortlist for the prestigious 2011 Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards is revealed.

The shortlists are:

Restaurant of the Year:

  • Mileburne Restaurant − Melbourne

  • Horsley Lodge – Horsley

  • Charles Cotton Hotel – Hartington

  • The Maynard – Grindleford

  • Mansion Restaurant − Derby

Soon to be listed in “Britain’s Best Hotels” – AA

Fresh from its renovation, Horsley Lodge has now been listed in the AA guide of “Britain’s Best Hotels” for 2012 . Only hotels achieving a 79% or higher service and quality grading are listed.

Horsley Lodge Golf Club have appointed Kevin Lock as their new Golf Professional.

Kevin, PGA qualified and currently at Rufford Park, Notts will join Horsley in August where he will be responsible for all key golf areas of: Pro Shop, Golf Range, Teaching and Club Pro
